I've had 6 240s to date, but I sold my 1991 DL and bought a truck. So the main transportation is the VW TDI Beetle (fuel mileage)...
Right now I have a 1981 264 GLE which has been converted to USA V8 power (Chevy 350). It's leaking oil everywhere, and I need to sell it. The engine is freshly rebuilt, but the machine shop put the cam seal in funky (the leak).

Tue, January 20, 2004 - 9:41 PMdue to circumstances too convoluted to bother with, I have technically owned a 445, 145 (both wagons), 122(set up to race), 164(w/straight six - good engine), 1800S, 1800E (with electric overdrive), and a 240DL, although I only actually drove three of them - the 164, 1800E, and th 240. three were nonfunctional. -

Thu, May 6, 2004 - 10:59 AMI have a 71 144 which my dad bought new. Currently it has a little under 16,000 miles....no typo here, 16K original miles. I start the car every couple of months but really don't drive it more than 20 miles each year.
